This typographic installation was created to make a statement on pathways of students born in Australia but have international backgrounds. Typical for Asian culture is the idea that the creative industries are not viable careers for the future. These installations serve as a reminder that these pathways are their own to make. The Asian seal stamp design is synonymous with a stamp of identity, status and power and expression of culture, allowing students to make their mark and take back control of their future pathways. The encouraging message, translated to different languages, connects to both students who grew up in a non-English speaking environment or those who only communicate with family in a different language serving as a sense of familiarity.
